Sarah Sanders

Sarah is a wife and mother of four, all of whom are in elementary and middle school. Her family has lived in quite a few places, including Europe, as they traveled for her husband, Richard's work. Her background is in Engineering, however, she much prefers the job she has now as a teacher of her children and manager of her household. Sarah’s family has lived in Humble for 5 years.

As for homeschool involvement, she is the administrator for an informal homeschool community called Christian Homeschoolers of Lake Houston. Over a year ago, she organized a local group of families to set up a homeschool co-op, Christian Homeschool Fellowship of Lake Houston, and Sarah currently serves as President of the board. She and her husband are very active in the local homeschool basketball program, Lake Houston Conquerors, and for the past two years they have organized their annual basketball tournament.

Sarah’s family is very involved at their church, Northeast Houston Baptist Church, where Richard is a life group director, and Sarah co-leads the children's check-in desk. They have been blessed to be able to participate in a couple of mission trips, and plan to try to continue that, because they feel passionate about sharing the gospel. Family time is important to them, as well as relationships within their communities.
