Lori Reed

Lori Reed was raised in Kingwood, Texas. She met her husband at Kingwood High School, and they both graduated from Texas A&M University. Lori began working at Christian School of Kingwood at the age of 15 and continued to work there for the next 12 years in their Extended Care program, as an office assistant, as a substitute teacher and finally as a fourth grade teacher and a Bible teacher. She went on to become a legal assistant until her husband’s job took them to Virginia for 10 years at which point she stayed home to begin raising their three children.

In Virginia, Lori had her first personal exposure to homeschooling through her church friends. However, her husband and she did not make the decision to homeschool until years after their children were in the public school system. She was blessed to end up homeschooling her two youngest children. One has graduated from Texas A&M and is currently an accountant in the Dallas area, and the other is currently attending Texas A&M working on a Biomedical Science Degree.

For the last fourteen years, Lori and her husband have been attending Kingwood First Baptist Church. She has been active in AWANA and women’s Bible studies while her husband currently teaches middle school boys. Lori greatly enjoys in-depth Bible studies and writing her own curriculum for a large variety of subjects. She loves learning new things and loves teaching them!
